Wanda Knisley was appointed acting Vice-President, Human Resources and Safety in July 2017. Before moving into this role, Ms. Knisley was the director of Human Resources Business Services, Talent Development and Labour Relations. Her experience at SaskPower extends back to 1999, when she joined SaskPower’s Power Production management team – a role that strongly familiarized her with the power industry and its culture.
As the principal of Integrated Human Resources Solutions for over a decade, she provided consulting services to large, medium and small businesses, working mostly in heavy industry. Her professional expertise focused on improving business performance through culture change and included executive and leadership coaching, change management, team development, performance management and organizational development. Collaboration and leveraging leadership communities to pursue sustainable change are key components she brings to her approach, along with a focus on client service and sustainable results.
Ms. Knisley holds her bachelor of business administration (distinction) from the University of Regina and a master's of organizational management and development from Fielding Graduate University. Her additional credentials include, but are not limited to being a professional certified coach through the International Coach Federation, a certified human resource professional (CPHR) and certified management consultant (CMC).
