Bill Wheatley Vice-Chair, SaskPower Board of Directors

Bill Wheatley is managing director, chief compliance officer and general counsel at Greystone Managed Investments Inc., a local firm with more than $28 billion in assets under management in assets under management and clients across Canada. Mr. Wheatley has headed the Greystone Real Estate Investment Team, managed the firm’s operations and developed the firm’s compliance department.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of VIA Rail Canada and is past chairman of the Saskatchewan Securities Commission.

Mr. Wheatley graduated from the University of Saskatchewan where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He then entered the University’s Law School and was called to the bar in 1973. Before starting work with Greystone, Mr. Wheatley was the head of a Regina real estate firm and chief of staff to the Minister responsible for the Saskatchewan Department of Finance and the Department of Justice.

Mr. Wheatley lives in Regina.
