Already Have a SaskPower Meter?

If you’re moving and your new home or building already has a power meter, you can start, stop or move your service online, in person or over the phone. Learn more.

Here are the steps to take to get service connections for pre-serviced lots:

  • 1. Applying For Service

    Joint servicing for new utility service connections is now available for residential lots in Saskatoon, Regina, Warman, Martensville, and Dalmeny. When you know the date that your property will be ready for servicing, please submit your application online.

    We will provide you with a tracking number for your electrical service application(s). Keep this handy in case you need to call us.

    • Your information will be shared with SaskEnergy, which will also provide you with a tracking number for your natural gas application(s) within a few days.
    • For your communication providers (SaskTel, Shaw, or Access) the conduit will be installed in the joint trench along with SaskPower and SaskEnergy.
    • It is the homeowner’s responsibility to apply for communication services to one of these providers
  • 2. Confirming Site Readiness

    A SaskPower field expeditor will check site locations prioritized by the “Site Ready Date” submitted in the application. The expeditor will go to each site and determine the site readiness for both SaskPower and SaskEnergy.

    • If the site is ready for service, the address will be placed on a trench list for the contract crew to install all utilities. The target turnaround time is 10 days.
    • If the site is not ready for service, the expeditor will contact the homebuilder to confirm what is required to be site ready and confirm a new service date. Once the deficiencies are corrected, the expeditor will re-check the site and the address will be put on the trench list with a target turnaround time of 10 days from the revised service date.
  • 3. After Installation

    Once the utilities are installed, please follow the existing processes to have the meters installed by each utility.
