Industrial mechanics, or millwrights, are located throughout the province and are responsible for safely dismantling, assembling and adjusting mechanical equipment at generating facilities.
Members of this team maintain, inspect, construct, install, repair and commission industrial mechanical equipment, which requires an ability to interpret plans, drawings and specifications. They determine rigging, hoisting and load requirements, and operate forklifts, hoists, cranes, and portable and stationary shop tools and equipment.
Ideal candidate
- Interprovincial Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate
- A valid Class 5 Driver's licence
- Ability to perform physically demanding work

- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Working knowledge of personal computer and various software applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working effectively with others
- Ability to understand, analyze and troubleshoot mechanical systems
