Power Line Technician
Power Line Technicians are located throughout the province and perform a variety of assignments.
Members of this team are involved in all aspects of the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution, transmission, switching station and substation facilities. They interpret and implement engineering or manufacturing plans, maintain an adequate inventory of parts and supplies, and are able to direct and monitor the performance of assigned staff.
Ideal candidate
- A valid Class 1A Driver's licence
- Interprovincial Power Lineperson Certificate, or
- Province of Saskatchewan Journeyman Power Lineman Certificate, or
Required skills
- Demonstrated ability to safely and competently perform power line work at the journeyed level
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with others
- Working knowledge of personal computers and various software applications
