SaskPower, Hitachi Ltd. and Marubeni Canada Ltd. have a long history of collaboration in engineering ventures. This includes hydro turbines, steam turbine generator sets, gas turbine generator sets and wind turbine towers.
B&W's research group has been working on various clean coal initiatives and will use its expertise to bring world class technology to Saskatchewan. B&W's work will help SaskPower to assess whether to proceed to the construction phase.

SaskPower, B&W and Air Liquide will jointly develop the OxyFuel™ process as the core process for the SaskPower Clean Coal™ Project. Present in 72 countries, Air Liquide is the world leader in industrial and medical gases and related services and offers innovative solutions based on constantly enhanced technologies. Both B&W and Air Liquide have a strong background in developing the OxyFuel™ process technology, which made them the most viable choice to partner with SaskPower on this project.
