Notice of Building, Structure or Equipment Moves Under or Through SaskPower Facilities
Terms and Conditions
The originating SaskPower district office must receive a written request or notification for an estimate and/or route inspection for a building or structure move.
SaskPower may require a minimum of 5 working days to inspect the route relative to loaded height of the structure and to schedule staff as required (additional notice may be required depending on the height and width of the building or structure).
The building mover or owner agrees to pay SaskPower amounts calculated in accordance with its approved policies and fees schedules for its assistance with moving under or through its power lines. Quoted prices will be based on best estimate according to information received by SaskPower. Any changes and/or delays may result in extra billing.
All time worked after normal business hours will be billed at SaskPower’s applicable overtime rates.
In consideration for SaskPower’s authorization and/or assistance, the mover agrees:
Where SaskPower’s assistance is required, not to proceed with the move under or through any designated power lines unless SaskPower personnel are present and have provided authorization to proceed.
To pay SaskPower for any loss or damage suffered as a direct or indirect result of the activities of the mover or its employees, servants, agents, contractors, and subcontractors in performing the move.
To indemnify and save SaskPower against any and all actions, causes of action, claims, demand, damages, and costs which are directly or indirectly caused by or result from the activities of the mover or its employees, servants, agents, contractors, and subcontractors in performing the move, other than those resulting directly from the negligence of SaskPower or its employees.
An Authorization of Building, Structure or Equipment Moves Under or Through SaskPower Facilities must be signed by the moving contractor, owner (when applicable) and SaskPower before the move takes place.
