Green Options Partners Program	Medium-sized power producers	100kW to 10MW	All power generated is sold to SaskPower
Small Power Producers Program	Small power producers	Up to 100kW	Any excess power generated is sold to SaskPower
Net Metering Program	Small power producers	Up to 100kW	Generated power is banked for later use; no power is sold to SaskPower

The sale of electricity in Saskatchewan is governed by The Power Corporation Act, which grants SaskPower the exclusive right to distribute electrical generation within the province. It requires SaskPower to set standards, guidelines, and rules for facilities interconnected with the SaskPower electrical distribution system.
