Cogeneration

Cogeneration systems are usually large, industrial systems that try to let no energy go to waste. In simple cycle natural gas turbines, much of the heat from the burning gas is released into the atmosphere. Cogeneration systems capture that heat to create steam in a boiler. The steam can be used for industrial purposes, or it can power another turbine to produce even more electricity.
