Centennial Wind Power Facility - Power Museum

Situated in the hills approximately 25 kilometres southeast of Swift Current, SaskPower International's new 150-megawatt Centennial Wind Power Facility is currently Canada's largest operating wind facility. With 83 turbines, it can produce enough electricity to serve about 64,000 Saskatchewan homes.

With the majority of construction taking place in 2005 — Saskatchewan's centennial year — this Facility will serve as a fitting tribute to our province's past — and its future.

The Centennial Wind Power Facility is the cornerstone of SaskPower’s efforts to introduce new electricity sources that have a low impact on the environment. Our long-term plans also call for a mix of energy conservation programs and new environmentally sensitive generation projects.
