In 2001, Lillian was recognized for her work as Penny Powers when she was inducted into the Saskatchewan Agriculture Hall of Fame. As Penny Powers, she promoted and educated the rural population of Saskatchewan on the selection and use of electrical household appliances, which vastly improved the quality of life for farm families.

The purpose of the Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame is "to formally and publicly recognize persons who, in the course of their residence in Saskatchewan, made significant and outstanding contributions to the welfare and improvement of Saskatchewan agriculture, and to a better way of life for the farm family." SaskPower was pleased to sponsor Lillian's induction along with the Association of Saskatchewan Home Economists and Farm Light and Power.
