Canada diamond legacy sponsorship
SaskPower became the first Diamond Legacy sponsor of Ducks Unlimited Canada (DU) in 1996 with the signing of a 30-year agreement.

Each year, we make an annual contribution of $115,000 to DU programs in Saskatchewan in support of habitat, education and research programs. This year, we're supporting the development of interpretive sites at DU projects near Prince Albert, Melfort and Humboldt. We're also continuing to support Wetlands are Wonderlands, an innovative, hands-on program that enables students and teachers to experience Saskatchewan's wetlands first-hand. More than 15,000 children have participated in the program over the past three years.

In partnership with DU, we're working closely with the farming community to enhance the wildlife potential of the agricultural landscape. These initiatives - which include a program to promote rangeland stewardship in southern Saskatchewan, a study into the economics of winter wheat rotations and the development of a crop planning tool for winter wheat - are important components of our Diamond Legacy sponsorship.
