PST exemption on new energy-efficient household appliances
The Government of Saskatchewan offers a point-of-purchase Provincial Sales Tax (PST) exemption on:
Refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and clothes washers that are recognized as ENERGY STAR® qualified by Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency. These appliances are identified by an EnerGuide label that includes the ENERGY STAR symbol.
New forced-air furnaces, boilers, ground and air source heat pumps if, at the time of purchase or lease, they are listed as ENERGY STAR qualified.
