Tomorrow
Over
the next 20 years, decisions concerning the refurbishment or replacement
of a large portion of SaskPower's generation and transmission facilities
will be required. These decisions will be required as structures age and
electricity demand grows.
In depth analysis is done on a continual basis to fully anticipate and understand
generation requirements, regulatory developments and options. Generation assets are
costly and long-lived, and as such need to be adaptable to evolving regulations. We also anticipate a near zero-emissions future.
We understand that technology is constantly changing; existing technology is always being surpassed by even better solutions. It is these solutions that we will continue to pursue over the next 20-25 years as we evolve our power generating fleet.
