Guidelines for emergency personnel
When you arrive at a scene that involves fallen power lines:
- Park at least 10 metres away from any fallen power lines
- Assess the situation before getting out of your vehicle
- Locate the ends of all fallen power lines and assume they are energized
- Call 310-2220 (toll free) to report the situation
- Ensure any onlookers stay at least 10 metres away from the fallen power lines
- Wait for SaskPower to arrive if people are trapped or injured near fallen power lines
