Greenhouse participates in FSIN festivals
A big part of what we do at the SaskPower Shand Greenhouse involves educating people about the importance of caring for our environment. This is why we are involved in the FSIN (Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations) summer science festival as both sponsor and presenter. These festivals take place on various reserves around the province, and feature informative displays and exhibits that help educate Aboriginal children about science and the world around them.
At these festivals, the Shand Greenhouse has the opportunity to interact with the students through activities and displays all while educating them about the environment. Tree seedlings are also donated to the festival for each student to take home.
