Sustainable Growth

The SaskPower Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) provides open and equitable access for wholesale power suppliers to the SaskPower power grid.

Our mission is to provide superior open access transmission service.

Tariff and Interconnection Services

The SaskPower Tariff and Interconnection Services department is responsible for interconnecting OATT power suppliers to the SaskPower power grid. It also assists in delivering and wheeling electricity as required. Its mission is to provide superior open access transmission.

OATT power suppliers

The OATT applies to:

  • Wholesale power suppliers outside Saskatchewan that want to 'wheel' electricity through Saskatchewan to markets on either side
  • Municipal power utilities in Saskatoon and Swift Current that supply electricity in those markets
  • Independent power producers in Saskatchewan that supply power to municipal power utilities or export power to other markets

If you are interested in becoming a wholesale power supplier or wheeling power through the province, the first step is to complete the Customer Eligibility Application
