We're committed to maintaining a workplace in which safety is part of everything we do. It is our policy that contractors performing work on any of SaskPower's facilities and work sites do so in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, bylaws, rules and standards.
The contractor health and safety section provides our contractors with the resources they need to remain safe while on a SaskPower job site. Contractors are required to familiarize themselves and their employees with SaskPower's health and safety policies, standards associated with related policies, as well as health and safety forms and checklists.
Contractor handbook
The objectives of the handbook are to supplement contractor orientation and provide a resource for maintaining the health and safety of SaskPower contractors.
Safety rulebook
The Safety Rulebook provides rules, guidelines and direction for workers and supervisors to assist them in making sound safety decisions in their day-to-day work activities. It is also an important guide to the hazard and risk assessment and work observation elements of SaskPower's Contractor Health and Safety Management Program.
Standard protection code
The Standard Protection Code is SaskPower's documented lockout procedure as required by provincial occupational health & safety legislation.
