The Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station returned to service on May 7 after a 58-day maintenance outage. Maintenance included the first major overhaul of the CO2 compressor. After final compressor system checks, the facility returned to continuous service on May 12.

For the month of May, the CCS facility captured 48,203 tonnes of CO2 and was online 65 per cent of the month. The peak capture rate was 2,734 tonnes per day.
