Established in 1929, we are Saskatchewan’s leading electricity supplier. We are committed to supporting economic growth and improving the quality of life for the people of our province.

With a team of nearly 3,150 permanent, full-time employees, we are responsible for serving nearly 522,000 customers spread across 652,000 square kilometres.

We maintain nearly 157,000 kilometres of power lines, 55 high voltage-switching stations and 194 distribution substations, and connect to the electrical systems at the Manitoba, Alberta and North Dakota borders.

NorthPoint Energy Solutions Inc.

A SaskPower wholly-owned subsidiary, NorthPoint is involved in electrical energy marketing and trading, risk and contract management, and market settlement activity.

Created in response to the SaskPower Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) offering, which allows eligible users access to our transmission system to transport electricity to our wholesale customers or wheel power across the province to other jurisdictions, NorthPoint operates an electrical energy trading desk 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
