Why Are We Asking for a Rate Increase?

We need to reduce outages to our customers by improving our aging power grid. We also need to make sure we have reliable power to grow business and industry in Saskatchewan.

We’ve applied rate increases to provide certainty to our customers and to help us invest in substation upgrades, power poles maintenance and additional power plants. In the past five years, we’ve invested over $6 billion on infrastructure and power purchase agreements. We’ll continue to invest about $1 billion a year going forward.

Learn more our announcement that on July 1, 2016, and again on January 1, 2017, you’ll see changes to your power bill..
