How to use the Cost Calculator

Step 1

Choose your account from these selections: "Your home" or "Your farm". Selecting either of these options will reset the calculator. If you select "Your home", you must choose "City, Town, Village and Urban Resort" or "Rural and Rural Resort" in order to receive the correct rate.


Step 2

To add an item to the calculator you must:

  • Select a room or category by clicking on the appropriate coloured bar.
  • If the item you choose is on a coloured bar, click on it to see the drop list of specific items in that category.
  • Click on the box in the +/- column to add the item to the calculator.
  • Choose the type and quantity of the item.
  • The default wattage and hours used per month are averages. For a more accurate calculation of your item’s usage, change the values to those specific to your item.
  • Repeat for each item you wish to enter. Your totals will be updated automatically.

    To clear all selected items or start over, press the "Reset Calculator" button.


    Step 3

    Press the "View Report" button to get a printable report of your electricity and natural gas usage. Print this report by pressing the "Print Report" button.
