Your responsibilities will vary, depending upon the area you support and your level of education. For example, an Administrative Assistant composes, types and revises correspondence, maintains files and coordinates meetings. A Business Support Assistant may monitor, research and analyze data, or assist with staff development.
All positions require a working knowledge of computers and software, excellent written and verbal communications skills, an understanding of office procedures and fabulous people skills.

Delivering a safe and reliable supply of power is our primary goal at SaskPower. Operators are the primary reason we meet that goal year after year. They keep the boilers, generators and turbines running at power plants throughout the province.
Operators are assigned shifts, and will perform a variety of functions depending upon their level of responsibility. For example, a Steam Station Assistant Operator helps to ensure that boilers and other equipment are ready to meet peak load demands, and they also assist in making repairs. A Steam Station Charge Engineer is also able to supervise, coach and train employees, in addition to ensuring generation requirements are met.
Operators require Grade 12 English A30 & B30, Math B30 & C30 and Physics 30. Engineers' certificates are required for all positions, with the class depending upon the requirements of the position. A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence is also required.

If you like to be around heavy equipment, or you're handy with construction tools then SaskPower may be the place for you. We have a number of opportunities available throughout the province, including equipment operators, labourers and meter readers. These jobs can be physically demanding.
While the qualifications vary with the position, you must have a Grade X or equivalent and have a valid Class 5 Driver's licence.

SaskPower requires technologists in several disciplines: Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, and Environmental Systems, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), and Chemical technology. They perform a variety of assignments, including planning, design, construction and operation of system facilities, or, in the case of our Plant Chemical Technologists, conducting and analyzing chemical samples. These opportunities are available throughout the province.
You will need a diploma in technology, such as electrical, civil, electronic systems, computer or mechanical, Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or Chemical Technology, and must be eligible for certification as an Applied Science Technologist by the Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians, and have a valid Class 5 Driver's licence.
SaskPower also requires Instrument Technicians, who are capable of doing everything from installing mechanical instrumentation and control equipment, to making repairs. If you have a Grade 12 English A30 & B30, Math B30 & C30, Physics 30 and Chemistry 30, with Interprovincial Journeyperson Industrial Instrument Maintenance Mechanic Certificate, or a diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology, as well as a Class 5 Drive's licence, you may wish to consider a career at SaskPower.

Your duties and qualifications will vary, depending upon your trade, however the minimum requirement for most positions is an Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate and Valid Class 5 Driver's licence.
