For SaskPower, water represents a powerful natural force that plays an integral role in meeting our province's energy needs. For many, moving water can also symbolize a journey.

In 2007, our company continued to travel toward strengthening our collaboration on environmentally focussed policy development. We developed a national- first Protocol Agreement and Action Plan with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment and Saskatchewan Watershed Authority.

The accord is providing our company with a framework for managing fish and fish habitat at all of our generation facilities. Along with our other environmental initiatives, it's also taking us a little closer to our ultimate destination — a sustainable future.
