We’re proud to say that our procurement is in line with the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA). This is Canada’s largest, barrier-free, interprovincial market, and it’s all about removing barriers to trade, investment, and labour mobility. By following the NWPTA, we’re helping to boost competitiveness, create more opportunities, and reduce costs for everyone involved — from governments and workers to investors, consumers, and businesses.

IT Vendor of Record

The Information Technology and Security Position Catalogue is a list of all the services that IT vendors need to be able to provide. If you’re an IT vendor, you need to make sure you have all the skills and qualifications listed in the catalogue before you respond to any service requests. But the catalogue listed here is always the most current and up-to-date version.

Finding and Submitting Bids

We use a service called Merx to share our opportunities with suppliers. This secure service lets suppliers send bids to us electronically. This is the only way we accept bids; we don’t take email responses.

You can find all of our procurement opportunities, along with any changes, add-ons, clarifications, and extra instructions for those opportunities, on Merx. We don’t endorse any other electronic procurement sites for our opportunities. You can see descriptions of each opportunity, but you need to register to download the opportunity and see the specific requirement. You can sign up to have Merx send you updates. Merx is an independent contractor and not part of SaskPower. SaskPower doesn’t own or control the Merx system and isn’t responsible for how it works or if it doesn’t work.

There’s a small cost for suppliers to get and submit proposals, but you can pay this once a year.
