Moving large loads can be tricky, especially when overhead powerlines are involved. Apply for an oversized load move authorization and we’ll help identify any SaskPower lines or equipment that may affect your route and determine what work is required before your move.
Critical Information Before You Apply
The mover (the person responsible for transporting the load) must complete all applications. Once your application is processed, you will receive a move authorization.
If work is required to accommodate your move, an invoice will be issued and the mover is responsible for payment. We won’t accept third-party payments. It may take up to 3 business days to process your application.
Essential Details
To complete this application, your mover will need to provide:
- Moving company name (if applicable).
- Company and/or driver contact name and phone number.
- Loaded height of the oversized load.
- A detailed route that includes start and end locations, land locations, GPS coordinates, range roads, or other relevant route information.
- A map or route description using a digital mapping tool such as Bing Maps or Apple Maps.
- Roofline orientation (if the load has a gable roof, please indicate if it is perpendicular or parallel to highway).
- Your preferred move date and time - at least 15 days before move date.
Processing Timelines
Your loaded height affects how your application is reviewed.
- Loads below 8 metres
- Please allow up to 15 days for processing.
- Loads over 8 metres
- Additional measurements and assessments may be required.
- These moves are considered more complex and may require additional coordination.
- Please allow up to two weeks for processing.
PROVIDING INCORRECT ROUTING INFORMATION MAY DELAY PROCESSING AND REQUIRE TIMELINES TO RESTART. TO AVOID DELAYS, PLEASE ENSURE YOUR ROUTE DETAILS ARE ACCURATE WHEN SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION.
