We’ve committed to add 60 MW of solar power by 2021. That's about enough clean energy to power between 10,000 and 12,000 homes. This is our second 10 MW utility-scale solar project in the province.

Our plans to bring solar to the province include opportunities for:

  • independent power producers
  • partnerships with First Nations Power Authority
  • community-driven projects

Why we’re doing it

Our goal is to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 40% from our 2005 levels by 2030. This means we need to add more renewable energy sources. Solar power is an important part of this plan.
