Getting around Saskatchewan in an EV is getting easier, but there are still areas that don’t have charging stations available.
To address this, we created the Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program (EVIP). This program will help fund the development and installation of up to 20 public EV fast charging stations across the province. Once the infrastructure is in place, there will be more opportunities to charge an EV during road trips in Saskatchewan.
The EVIP application submission window is closed.
We’ve signed agreements with partners for new fast charging stations in the following locations:
|Riverbend Co-op Ltd.||
Highway 11 Gas Bar
100 N Service Road
|Riverbend Co-op Ltd.||Outlook Co-op||
218 Saskatchewan Ave E
|Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority||Northern Lights Casino||
44 Marquis Road West

|Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority||Painted Hand Casino||
510 Broadway Street W
|Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority||Gold Eagle Casino||

We’re continuing to finalize details with the remaining successful third-party applicants who will own and operate additional stations.
Check the PlugShare Charging Map to find existing and new EV charging stations as they come online.
Our Review Process
We review applications based on specific criteria. The first factors we consider are how close a proposed station is to a main highway and if it’s in an area that doesn’t already have charging stations. Then we take stock of what other services and facilities are in the area. From there we consider things like the applicant’s experience, equipment and project plan.
Our EVIP is supported by Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program.
