SaskPower Celebrates Environment Week with Nature Conservancy of Canada
June 04, 2018
To celebrate national Environment Week, SaskPower will make a donation to Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) for every customer that signs up for paperless billing. Environment Week runs June 3 to 10, but this promotion will run for the entire month.
“SaskPower is proud to partner with Nature Conservancy of Canada to help protect some of the province’s most ecologically significant land and water,” said Nidal Dabghi, acting vice-president of Distribution and Customer Services. “With paperless billing, you can cut clutter, save trees, and, if you sign up right now, you can help out an organization that does great work in this province.”
For every customer who signs up for paperless billing in June, we will donate $10 to NCC. On June 5, World Environment Day, SaskPower will also match each donation to NCC by a Saskatchewan resident. SaskPower will donate up to a maximum of $25,000 between the two promotions. All of the funds raised will be used on Saskatchewan projects. Since the first project in Saskatchewan in 1982, NCC has conserved more than 60,703 hectares of the province’s grasslands, parklands and forests.
“SaskPower’s support for Nature Conservancy of Canada helps us conserve endangered grasslands, wetlands, rivers and forests and the species that live in these rich habitats,” says Mark Wartman, regional vice-president, NCC. “The need to conserve Saskatchewan’s native plants and animals and amazing natural diversity is vitally important. Thanks to our donors and corporate sponsors, NCC has an opportunity to protect hundreds of wildlife species that are endangered, at risk or of concern.”
With paperless billing you will instantly receive a copy of your monthly power bill in your inbox, and be reminded when it’s time to make a payment. Your online account also provides you with the convenience of anytime, anywhere access to all your account information, including your account balance and consumption history.
