BD3 Status Update: February 2021

During the month of February 2021, the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station captured 67,699 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The average daily capture rate when CCS was online was 2,494 tonnes per day with a peak one-day capture of 2,533 tonnes. The CCS facility was online for 96% of the month, coming offline briefly toward the end of the month because of a trip caused by a mechanical issue.
