BD3 Status Update: April 2020

During the month of April, the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station captured 48,150 tonnes of carbon dioxide. The average daily capture rate when CCS was online was 2,293 tonnes, with a peak one-day capture rate of 2,804 tonnes. The CCS facility was online 67% of the month, coming offline for a total of 237 hours to accommodate a 10-day outage at the BD3 power unit.
