BD3 Status Update: January 2020

In January, the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) facility at Boundary Dam Power Station captured 48,242 tonnes of CO2. The CCS facility was online 60 per cent of the month coming offline for 243 hours to accommodate multiple outages at the BD3 power station and 57 hours to do maintenance on the CCS plant. The average daily capture rate was 2,193 tonnes per day with a peak one-day capture rate of 2,846 tonnes.
